Our water is now on!! I am so pleased.
As I have said we are so lucky in that there were no deaths. There is a lot of damage to property around the region (about 2 billion dollars to repair). Gradually things will return to normal but at present you just feel as though you are living in limbo and of course the after shocks keep coming. It is an awful feeling.

Hi Di, just finished watching CNN following the firemen around assessing buildings. Must be an awful thing to go through, but at least you're safe. Love Jes.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Jes, it is awful to see the devastation everywhere but I keep thinking how much more devastating it would have been if it had happened in the middle of the day - then there would have been deaths.
